ROAD TYPE CODES:

  • TW = Twisties - Left-right-left mountain roads, switchbacks, 180-degree and hairpin turns.
  • SW = Sweepers - Lazy, curvy mountain roads and passes.
  • S/S = Straight/Scenic. Mostly straight, mostly flat roads or highways that get us to more Sweepers and Twisties.

    PACE CODES

  • C = Cruising Pace - Some posted rides are ridden at slower Cruising Pace where we will typically not exceed the speed limit and will usually stay right at, or a bit below the posted speed limit.
  • S = Standard Pace - Most posted rides are ridden at the Standard Pace. This means that we will typically stay within 5 MPH (+/-) of the posted speed limit.
  • Q = Quick Pace - Some posted rides are ridden more enthusiastically. Riders start each road together then wait for each other at the top or the bottom of that hill or road for the next leg. Depending on riding skill, there may be significant gaps between riders. Even on Quick Pace rides, we still don't leave riders behind... ...but there is not as much emphasis on keeping the group together in a tight formation.

Well I am gonna leave the meetup as is but if y'all get to the Chevron and it is still fenced off then go to the 76 station across the street. A lot can change in two or three weeks.

FYI: the Chevron station is closed and fenced off (was there last weekend). I'd recommend the 76 station under the ball.

      •  Pace was just right for me on a sport touring bike, all the riders were well skilled and I never felt concerned about someone running into the back of me, or doing something dumb. Super friendly group and I hope to ride with them again. Special thanks to Daryl for being lead man. He's brave for authoritatively parking his bike in front of a bunch of oncoming traffic so our whole group can get through. They'd probably just run me over, but they listen to him! :) Cheers to all, and happy new year, Aaron
